breast symptoms
with dr sue fraser
Available from 1 october
When staff at Sydney Breast Clinic asked women how regularly they check their breasts for changes, a significant 25 percent said ‘never’. The majority of women surveyed do not check regularly because they ‘forget’ and most are unsure about how to check their breasts and what to look for.
Although women are surrounded by reminders of the importance of breast checks there is still a concerning amount of uncertainty about breast health. Dr Sue Fraser, President of the Breast Physicians Association & Senior Breast Physician at Sydney Breast Clinic is presenting an education session on breast symptoms.
Dr Fraser’s presentation will also provide an explanation of the three breast cancer clinics - Diagnostic Assessment, Risk Assessment, Screening - available at Sydney Breast Clinic. She will also explain the significance of the diagnostic Triple Test, which is 99.6 percent accurate.
The presentation will be illustrated with case studies and examples of women presenting with:
- Shape change
- Skin change: dimpling, retraction, colour change, flattening, puckering
- Nipple change: inversion, rash, scaling
- Nipple discharge
- Lumps
- Breast Pain |
