Referral requirements – a referral is required for a patient to attend Sydney Breast Clinic.

Referral – Valid Period

From a GP valid for 12 months from the date of the referral, from a Specialist it is valid for 3 months from the date of the referral.  Each visit requires a new referral with the exception of a return visit within 7 days of the initial visit.

A referral is required as it explains the symptom or reason a patient attends the clinic and allows a Medicare rebate on some services.
