Dr Kuan-Chi Wang is a female breast surgeon at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney who treats both benign and malignant breast disease requiring surgical assessment, intervention or follow up.
Kuan attended medical school at the University of Sydney and completed her surgical fellowship through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Thereafter, she underwent further training in breast oncoplastic surgery for 2.5 years; specifically,1.5 years at the Paris Breast Centre (France) with the internationally renowned oncoplastic breast surgeon, Dr Krishna Clough. Kuan is pleased to bring the new skill sets she has acquired overseas to patients in her local community.
Kuan has actively engaged in research throughout her career, with publications in prestigious (peer-reviewed) journals such as Annals of Surgery. Her most recent publications considers lipofilling / fat grafting techniques in breast cancer treatment.
Kuan passionately believes in giving back to her community in both her professional and personal capacity. She educates junior / medical professionals as a conjoint lecturer at University of NSW, is a lecturer for the Master of Advanced Breast Surgery at the University of Sydney and is also involved in numerous volunteering and fundraising projects for disadvantaged children.
