Dr Sharron graduated from medicine at Western Sydney University and completed her pathology training at St Vincent’s Hospital with rotations to Liverpool Hospital and Douglas Hanly Moir before obtaining fellowship with the Royal College of Pathologist of Australasia in 2022. She completed a molecular pathology postgraduate fellowship in 2022 and has extended her scope of practice in this area. She is currently a staff specialist anatomical pathologist at St Vincent’s Hospital.

Sharron is heavily involved in teaching and education with a conjoint lecturer appointment at the University of New South Wales. She has been an invited speaker at national cytopathology meetings to discuss her special interest areas which includes the synergy between cytopathology and molecular pathology. Her special interest areas include cytopathology, molecular pathology, breast, gastrointestinal, head and neck and neuropathology.
