Dr Sophie Wu completed her medical degree in the UK. After working as a junior doctor in London for a couple of years, she relocated to Sydney. She spent the first few years working in emergency departments in Sydney and around Australia, before deciding to specialise in general practice. She completed her Fellowship in General Practice in 2023.

She has a particular interest in women's health and is passionate about preventative health, which led her to join the team of Breast Physicians at Sydney Breast Clinic in 2025, where she can further specialise in this particular area of women's health and work in a multidisciplinary setting to provide comprehensive personalised care to patients.

In addition to her work at Sydney Breast Clinic, she also works in general practice, and is a medical educator for medical students and GP registrars.
