We are excited to announce the rollout of Avantect early detection blood tests for pancreatic and ovarian cancers, launching in Sydney in January 2026.
From 19th January 2026, these tests will be available through the High-Risk Clinic at Sydney Breast Clinic.
Ovarian and pancreatic cancers remain two of the most challenging cancers to detect early. Their symptoms are often vague, subtle, and easily mistaken for everyday issues, meaning many patients are diagnosed far too late, when treatment options are limited.

Ovarian Cancer
Often called the “silent” cancer, early symptoms can mimic common conditions. As a result, around 70% of women are diagnosed at an advanced stage.
Pancreatic Cancer
Known for progressing quietly, it is frequently detected only once it has spread. Early diagnosis dramatically improves outcomes — but remains difficult with current methods.
